Worked example
A 1,200 × 800 image resized to 600 pixels wide with aspect ratio locked becomes 600 × 400.
Understanding the result
Choose width and whether to preserve the aspect ratio. Upscaling increases pixel dimensions but cannot recover detail missing from the original image.
Frequently asked questions
Does enlarging an image improve its quality?
No. Increasing dimensions interpolates existing pixels. It does not add genuine captured detail.
